Though last week's rumour about the next Xbox's apparent minimalist naming philosophy was proved to be nothing more than a hoax designed to expose the frailties of modern gaming journalism, it appears that Microsoft's next console might simply be named 'Xbox' after all. In the time between the releases of Gran Turismo 4 and 5, Microsoft had released three Forza games over two consoles, and in 2011 they released Forza Motorsport 4. They continue their impressive turnaround with the newly-anounced Forza Horizon, coming to Xbox 360 later at some unspecified point in the not-so-distant future. Probably like November. A report from French gaming website Xboxygen.com claims that Microsoft's next console, codenamed 'Xbox 10', will boast a hex-core CPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and an AMD dual-GPU prototype. The site, which claims to have sources 'very close' to Microsoft, states that the console is being developed by internally-titled Xbox division, Loop, whilst software is being handled by Infinity.
