Couple name child Dovahkiin, receive free Bethesda games for life

In what can only be described as a rather peculiar story, it has come to light that Bethesda are rewarding a couple for naming their son after Skyrim protagonist Dovahkiin, or ‘Dragonborn’, by offering them free copies of their games for a lifetime.

Bethesda Blogged back in February:

Pete is throwing down with a casual quest, offering up an unknown reward to any couple adventurous enough to name their 11/11/11-born child “Dovahkiin.”

Bethesda probably thought, somewhat naively, that nobody would actually be bonkers enough to take on the challenge. They were wrong. Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer was born at 6:08pm on 11/11/11. He was 8 pounds 1/2 ounce and 19 1/2 inches long.

Congratulations to the happy couple, and please, Dovahkiin, as you grow up, please remember: dragon abuse is a very real problem.
